Why It Is Essential To Have Employee Engagement And How To Keep Them Engaged

Why It Is Essential To Have Employee Engagement And How To Keep Them Engaged

Employees who are engaged with their work can see as high performing, passionate, streamlined, time framed and there are many more qualities they hold which are benefited for an organization to grow bigger or boost the business.

Conversely, just because of Employee work 8 hours of a day, that does not mean they're engaged with work. That’s because they do what is their routine job, acting engaged but not, unwillingness to learn or not think out of the box etc…

It is not only an employee’s fault that they’re not engaged with the work. This could be a reason that the organization does not provide the space or freedom to be innovative/creative at their work. This means the management force them to follow routine job methods to get their work done (Torossian, 2018).These kinds of approach can be applied only with trainees or part-time workers since trainees are there to trained or some part-time works are employed for routine jobs.

Employees who think creative and innovative to achieve their goals and self-driven are the one who works in freedom at the workplace. Therefore, it is not only employee’s responsibility to be engaged with their work, but also organization should support the employees by providing them benefits, rewarding’s, career growth planning’s, motivating, promotions etc…

However, it is clear that job satisfaction is the main reason for an employee to be engaged with their work. it is related to employee psychology. An employee satisfied with their work, benefits are the most durable, trustworthy and motivated to contribute more to the organization. In the other hand unsatisfied employee with their work benefits, are a burden to a company and they’re irresponsible towards to work (Gharakhani & Zaferanchi, 2019).

Therefore, similarly both employer and employee should collaborate with each other to have more engagement towards to work.

  1. If an employee engages in their work they go beyond the targets, more chances for innovative ideas and they are loyal to the organization. Management should provide financial and other benefits as motivational facts to make employees engage their work.
